Step by step planning for veneer restorations using Metalab
Guided by design
Having design as a central pillar in restorative cases makes it easy to keep everything and everyone on the same track. This case is a nice example of how visual collaboration between dentist, patient and technician assured that the end result met everyone's expectations.
We started the case with a Smile Design and morphology selection.
Then, we proceeded to a Motivational Design - using the selected library positioned on top of existing teeth and tissue
Once the patient accepted, we proceeded to the Functional Design using the same library in the ideal functional position
The functional design was then used to create the Crownlengthening guide
The Crownlengthening guide was used for precise tissue recontouring and then the Functional design served as a prep guide to achieve minimal thickness
After crownlengthening and prep, the final restorations were designed.
